Burglars Hit Concession Stand

• At 7:50 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a burglary in the 900 block of Johnson Road. Items were stolen from a concession stand. 

Teen Caught with Marijuana

• At 8:46 a.m. on Friday, police arrested and released a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of possession of marijuana in the 900 block of Johnson Road. The boy is being referred to juvenile court prosecutors on the charge. 

Mail Box Damaged, Mail Stolen

• At 1:05 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of mail in the 1000 block of North Scheuber Road. The mailbox was reportedly damaged as well. 

Man Accused of Assaulting Store Clerk After Passing Out in Bathroom

• At 4:34 p.m. on Friday, police arrested Maalgeney R. Denetclaw, 41, of Chehalis, in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. Denetclaw was accused of assaulting a store clerk who asked him to leave after he passed out in a bathroom and was “belligerent” with employees, according to police. He was reportedly “highly intoxicated.” 

DUI

• At 7:40 p.m. on Friday, police arrested David W. Bailey, 68, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue. He was also accused of driving with a suspended license and without a required ignition interlock device. 

Rochester Woman Arrested on Warrant, Booked on Drug Charge

• At 10:22 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested Sarah A. Horr, 39, of Rochester, in Tumwater on a Centralia Municipal Court warrant. She was relayed to Centralia police, at which point officers reported finding methamphetamine in her possession. She was booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Home Ransacked

• At 11:09 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a burglary to a residence in the 500 block of South Silver Street. The residence was reportedly “ransacked,” but nothing was taken, according to police. 

Centralians Arrested on Assault Charges

• At 11:34 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested Jesse L. Wilkins, 20, of Centralia, in the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road in Centralia on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

• At 11:34 p.m. on Monday, Tara L. Tharpe, 36, of Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of South King Street on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Tools Stolen

• At 2:07 p.m. on Saturday, a burglary was reported to a shed in the 1100 block of Eckerson Road. A Ridgid chop saw, Stihl chain saw and worm drive saw were taken. 

• At 7:33 a.m. on Monday, tools were reported stolen from buildings under renovation in the 900 block of Orton Street.  

Gun Stolen

• At 2:36 p.m. on Saturday, a gun was reported stolen in the past few days in the 2900 block of Mt. Vista Road. A .380 caliber Makarov pistol and a wallet were taken.

Man Booked for Forged Check

• At 1:28 p.m. on Monday, police arrested Joshua D. Ward, 29, of Randle, in the 200 block of West Main Street on suspicion of trying to cash a forged check at a bank.  

Alcohol Stolen

• At 1:29 a.m. on Monday, alcohol was reported stolen from a retail store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Hit and Runs

• At 4:52 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. The fleeing vehicle is described as a dark blue diesel truck.

• At 9:02 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Belmont Avenue. The suspect vehicle is described as a blue sedan. 

Teen Referred to Prosecutors on Malicious Mischief Charge

• At 8:43 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 2800 block of Russell Road to a report of malicious mischief. A 15-year-old boy is being referred to juvenile court prosecutors on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief. 

Teen Booked on Harassment Charge, Assault

• At 4:24 p.m. on Monday, police arrested a 16-year-old boy in the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road on suspicion of harassment and second-degree assault involving separate victims.

Medication Stolen

• At 9:17 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a theft of medication in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road. 

Chehalis Police Department

Suspects Arrested on Malicious Mischief Charges

• At 1:46 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a possible dispute in progress involving a person breaking windows. Morganne L. Sultz, 18, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief and  minor in possession. 

• At 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of a possible violation of a protection order in the 600 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue. Aaron D. Garman, 38, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of violation of a domestic-violence no-contact order and second-degree malicious mischief for allegedly breaking a vehicle window. 

Mail Stolen

• At 2:48 p.m. on Friday, mail was reported stolen in the 2000 block of North National Avenue.  

Shoplifter Reported

• At 3:13 p.m. on Friday, a shoplifter was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made. 

Property Vandalized

• At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of malicious mischief in the 1000 block of North National Avenue. A person reported a doll at her house was vandalized. 

Package Stolen

• At 6:38 p.m. on Friday, a package was reported stolen in the 500 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue. The package reportedly contained dishwasher cleaner tablets. 

Hit and Runs

• At 8:24 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Chamber of Commerce Way and Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 3:59 p.m. on Sunday, a hit and run was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Counterfeit Cash Reported

• At 9:36 a.m. on Saturday, counterfeit cash was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.  

Man Booked on Drug Violation

• At 2:53 p.m. on Saturday, police arrested Richard J. Bagley, 31, of Milton, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. 

Burglary Suspect Arrested

• At 3:44 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a burglary in the 900 block of Northwest State Avenue. Austin D. Wood, 33, of Napavine, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary.

Money Stolen

• At 8:46 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft of cash in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman reported she put cash down while in the self-checkout area and briefly walked away, then returned to find someone else had used her money to check out. 

Accused Shoplifter Arrested

• At 3:56 p.m. on Sunday, police cited Charles J. Stephens, 36, of Longview, on suspicion of third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. He was accused of taking $35.23 in merchandise.

Assault Suspect Arrested

• At 5:27 p.m. on Sunday, police arrested Don. K. Gonzales, 28, of Centralia, in the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Cargo Trailer Full of Furniture Stolen

• A 2008 International utility cargo trailer was reported stolen between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Dieckman Road in Adna. The trailer was full of $5,000 in furniture. 

Chehalis Teen Booked on Drug Charge

• At 11:24 p.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a dispute in the 3400 block of Prill Road in Centralia. There, they contacted a 16-year-old boy who reported he had prescription medication that was not prescribed to him in his possession. The teen was arrested on suspicion of violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention.
