CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Suspect Booked for Protection Order Violation

• At 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 500 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested David L. Hewitt, 43, of Rochester on suspicion of violating a protection order.

 

Suspect Booked for Controlled Substance, Warrant

• At 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of South Rock Street and arrested Tiffany C. Schwartzengraber, 21, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and on a Department of Corrections warrant.

 

Business Burglarized

• At 9:24 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 600 block of North Tower Avenue, where a business had been broken into. It was unknown, as of Thursday, what had been stolen.

 

Vehicle Window Damaged

• At 9:15 a.m. Thursday, a caller in the 1400 block of Johnson Road reported that someone damaged a side window of a vehicle.

 

Thefts

• At 12:41 p.m. Thursday, a shoplifting incident was reported in the 1400 block of Lum Road.

• At 1:12 p,m. Thursday, a shoplifting incident was reported in the 100 block of West High Street.

 

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 7:34 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 100 block of South Oak Street and arrested Deborah L. Beck, 57, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Locomotive Vandalized

• At 10:02 a.m. Wednesday, police were requested in the 500 block of Northwest West Street, where a locomotive had been vandalized.

 

Police Requested to Remove Individual

• At 1:02 p.m. Wednesday, police were requested in the 100 block of North Market Boulevard, where a person was acting disorderly and refusing to leave a building.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A vehicle had been broken into, but police reports did not indicate if anything had been stolen.

 

Telephone Harassment Reported

• At 9:08 a.m. Thursday, repeated instances of telephone harassment were reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Possible Domestic Violence Spotted in Vehicle

• At 10:58 a.m. Thursday, a caller in the 100 block of Southwest Sixth Street reported seeing a vehicle driving erratically, with a man and a woman possibly fighting inside the vehicle as it was still traveling.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 211 inmates, with 178 in general population, 31 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 148 were men and 30 were women and of WERC inmates, 26 were men and five were women. A total of 25 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
