Sirens: Items Stolen From Neighborhood’s Porches, Drugs Shipped in Shoes to Rehab Patient, Counterfeit Cash Reported

Centralia Police Department

Graffiti Reported

• At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, graffiti was reported on a garage door at an address in the 700 block of G Street in Centralia. 

Tires Slashed

• At 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of tires being slashed in the 300 block of West Pine Street.

Items Stolen From Neighborhood’s Porches

• At 6:57 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of several thefts from porches in a neighborhood in the 1400 block of Oxford Avenue. Some of the stolen items were recovered. 

Suspect Booked on Criminal Impersonation Charge

• At 12:58 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1500 block of Lum Road and arrested Sherry L. Scott, 37, of Centralia, on suspicion of first-degree criminal impersonation and outstanding warrants. 

Rental Property Stolen, Suspects Identified

• At 9:02 a.m. on Thursday, rental property was reported stolen in the 1400 block of South Gold Street. 

• At 9:57 a.m. on Thursday, rental property was reported stolen in the 1400 block of South Gold Street. A 50-year-old Winlock man is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of second-degree theft. 

• At 9:58 a.m. on Thursday, rental property was reported stolen in the 1400 block of South Gold Street. A 43-year-old Centralia woman was sent a court summons on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Chehalis Police Department

Sexual Misconduct

• At 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of sexual misconduct in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. 

Drugs Shipped in Shoes to Rehab Patient

• At noon on Thursday, police received a report of drugs found at American Behavioral Health Systems in the 500 block of Southwest Washington Avenue. The client reportedly had two pairs of shoes shipped to him, which were found to contain drugs, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The incident is under investigation. 

Theft Reported

• At 6:12 p.m. on Thursday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Counterfeit Cash Reported

• At 6:27 p.m. on Thursday, counterfeit cash was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Burglary

• At 2:07 a.m. on Friday, a burglary was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Newaukum Avenue. 

 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

 

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 194 inmates, including 166 in general population, 26 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 132 were men and 34 women and of WERC inmates, 24 were men and two women.
