Detroit, Michigan Resident Booked for Assault

• At 10:03 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 700 block of Harrison Avenue for a report of an assault. Regan L. Watts, 20, of Detroit, Michigan, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

Vehicles Vandalized

• At 11:59 a.m. on Monday, police received a report that a vehicle was vandalized in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue overnight. 

• At 9:51 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of vandalism to a vehicle. A window was broken overnight in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue. 

Suspect Arrested on Theft, Trespassing Charges

• At 12:05 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 500 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Joshua D. Ferguson, 40, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree theft, resisting arrest and trespassing. 

• At 10:44 p.m. on Tuesday, Ferguson was contacted again for allegedly trespassing in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue. He was cited on suspicion of criminal trespass and released. 

Guns Reported Stolen

• At 10:24 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a burglary occurring within the past two months in the 2000 block of North Pearl Street. Two firearms were reported stolen. 

Bicycles Stolen

• At 11:16 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a theft of “multiple folding bicycles” in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road. 

Chehalis Police Department

Assault Reported

• At 9:35 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of an assault in the intersection of McFadden Avenue and Eighth Street in Chehalis. Elias A. Galaviz, 21, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment. 

Juvenile Found with Drug Paraphernalia

• At 12:19 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a juvenile found with drug paraphernalia in the 1200 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue. No arrest was reported. 

Theft

• At 1:09 p.m. on Monday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. 

 

Burglaries

• At 1:17 p.m. on Monday, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Northwest State Avenue. 

• At 4:28 p.m. on Monday, a burglary was reported in the 200 block of Northwest Quincy Place. 

Accused Shoplifter Found with Drugs

• At 9:22 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue for a report of a shoplifter. Police arrested Meagan E. Greenshaw, 23, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree theft, and reported finding methamphetamine in her possession. Greenshaw was also booked on suspicion of violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.  

Gasoline Stolen

• At 8:57 a.m. on Tuesday, gasoline was reported stolen in the 200 block of West Main Street.  

Radiator Stolen from Vehicle

• At 9:18 a.m. on Tuesday, a person reported the radiator was stolen from his vehicle in the 100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue. 

California Resident Arrested on Shoplifting Charge

• At 2:59 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Veronica L. Reyes-Galvan, 37, of San Jose, California, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Trespasser Reported

• At 3:29 p.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in the 1400 block of Northeast End Avenue. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Plywood, Screws Stolen from Morton Property

• On Saturday, deputies received a report of a theft of construction supplies occurring in the previous week in the 400 block of Highland Valley Road in Morton. The victim reported 50 sheets of 4-foot by 8-foot plywood and a bag of screws, valued together at $520, were stolen from a barn on the property. The barn was reportedly being restored, but construction crews arrived to find the plywood gone.  

Items Stolen from Garage, Vehicles, at Winlock Address

• At 8 a.m. on Monday, deputies responded to a report of a burglary the previous night at a garage in the 1000 block of South Military Road Winlock. A GPS device, a pink iPod nano, fishing gear, saws and tools were reported stolen from vehicles and from the garage. 

TV, Designer Clothes, Shoes Stolen from Storage Unit

• Deputies are investigating a report of a burglary between February and Monday at a storage unit in the 300 block of West Reynolds Avenue. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, reported items including a 42-inch TV, women’s dress clothes and shoes by designer brands including Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo were stolen. The items stolen were valued at $4,000. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 230 inmates, with 195 in general population, 34 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 153 were men and 42 female and of WERC inmates, 32 were male and two female. A total of 35 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
