Sirens: Booze Theft; Teen Cited for Racing; Man Tased After Trying to Get Knife During Arrest

Man Cited for Stealing Booze

• Police cited Charles E. Norskog, 44, of Centralia, after he allegedly stole a bottle of alcohol from a store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Rochester Teen Cited for Racing

• Officers cited Alexx J. Pouge, 18, of Rochester, for allegedly racing in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Lighting Equipment Stolen

• At 9:22 a.m. Thursday, a victim in the 400 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia reported lighting equipment was taken from their vehicle. 

Tools Taken From Truck

• Police received a report of tools taken from a truck in the 1100 block of Creekside Court in Centralia at 10:54 a.m. Thursday.

iPod Stolen

• An iPod was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Downing Road in Centralia at 2:47 p.m. Thursday. 

Police Tase Man Reaching for Knife During Arrest

• Police used a Taser to subdue a Centralia man who allegedly reached for a knife while being handcuffed at 3:05 p.m. Thursday. Russell E. Charnell III, 33, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a dispute and then tried to eat a baggie of methamphetamine in the 700 block of H Street in Centralia.

Garage Burglarized

• At 4:01 a.m. Friday, officers received a report of items stolen from a garage in the 800 block of South Gold Street in Centralia.
