Sirens: Accused Trespasser Cited for Refusing to Leave Hotel; Suspect Accused of Opening Products’ Packaging with Knife, Animal Abuse Reported

Cell Phone Stolen

• At 11:29 a.m. on Wednesday, a cell phone was reported stolen in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue. The phone was later recovered. 

Accused Trespasser Cited for Refusing to Leave Hotel

• At 12:55 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a trespasser in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue. Carolyn J. Hancock, 81, of Rochester, was cited on suspicion of criminal trespassing. She was accused of refusing to leave a hotel. 

Suspect Cited on Littering Charge

• At 11:06 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of West Chestnut Street and cited John M. Williford, 24, of Centralia on suspicion of illegally dumping more than a cubic yard of garbage. 

Winlock Man Booked on Charge of Interfering With Health Care Facility

• At 11:43 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road and arrested Joshua D. Ocamb, 41, of Winlock, on suspicion of interfering with a health care facility. 

Disorderly Conduct

• At 6:22 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the intersection of Tower Avenue and Main Street and arrested Russell S. Edwards, 56, on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Suspect Booked on Protection Order Violation, Drug Charge

• At 4:53 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 100 block of Shirlee Avenue and arrested Tanner D. Meeks, 29, of Centralia, on suspicion of violation of a domestic-violence no-contact order and possession of heroin. 

Man Arrested on Meth Charge After Traffic Stop

• At 3:08 a.m. on Friday, police initiated a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Juan E. Mejia, 38, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Chehalis Police Department

Hit and Run

• At 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a hit and run at the intersection of Main and Northwest State streets. 

Restraining Order Violated

• At 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a violation of a protection order in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Kennewick Woman Arrested on Drug Charge, Theft

• At 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report that a female suspect took merchandise from a store in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard and left. Angela A. Copeland, 45, of Kennewick, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and possession of a controlled substance. 

Trespasser Reported

• At 8:56 p.m. on Wednesday, a person was reportedly trespassing under an awning in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard. 

Bike Stolen

• At 8:56 p.m. on Wednesday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. 

Animal Abuse Reported

• At 9:01 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of animal abuse in the 10 block of Southwest 9th Street. 

Tacoma Suspect Arrested With Fake Money

• At 4:01 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a fake $100 bill in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. David A. Manskie, 33, of Tacoma, was arrested on suspicion of forgery, identity theft and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. 

Suspect Accused of Opening Products’ Packaging with Knife

• At 2:43 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a person opening food packages with a knife at a store in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Patrick D. Seeser, 24, of Elma, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and possession of a dangerous weapon. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 215 inmates, including 182 in general population, 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 144 were men and 38 women and of WERC inmates, 29 were men and three women.
