Suspects Arrested on Protection Order Violations

• At 4:07 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 400 block of West Main Street and arrested Aaron Gange, 29, of Centralia, on suspicion of violation of a protection order.

• At 10:34 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 900 block of Ham Hill Road and arrested Tony Watson, 61, of Centralia, on suspicion of violating a protection order, resisting arrest and obstruction. 

Purse Stolen

• At 6:39 p.m. on Monday, a purse was reported stolen in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Wyoming Man Arrested on DUI Charge

• At 8:04 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road and arrested Brian Ward, 61, of Cody, Wyoming, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Wallet Stolen

• At 9:55 a.m. on Tuesday, a wallet was reported stolen from a business in the 1800 block of Cooks Hill Road. 

Onalaska Suspect Accused of Theft

• At 11:52 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested and released Tyson D. Ball, 29, of Onalaska, on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Tires Vandalized

• At 1:21 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report that vehicle tires were vandalized in the 100 block of Shirlee Avenue. 

Vehicle Stolen During Test Drive

• At 1:21 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle was reportedly stolen during a test drive in the 1100 block of J Street. 

Assault Suspect Referred to Prosecutor for Charges

• At 10 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. A 27-year-old Centralia man is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. He was accused of hitting his girlfriend during a dispute. 

DUI

• At 11:46 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Long Road and arrested Skyler R. Schrader, 22, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence after a collision.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Suspect Booked on Drug Charge

• At 8:39 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue and arrested Jose A. Garnica, 31, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Scam Reported

• At 11:10 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a scam in the 1800 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue. A person reported receiving a fraudulent check in the mail.  

License Plate Stolen

• At 1:25 a.m. on Friday, a license plate was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Accused Doughnut Thief Returns Stolen Pastry

• At 2:18 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of an attempted theft in the 1400 block of Louisiana Avenue. A person reportedly took a doughnut and left. Later, when confronted, the man reportedly apologized for taking the doughnut and gave it back. 

Fraudulent Charges Reported

• At 4:43 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of fraudulent charges to a bank count from teh 1600 block of Southeast Aust Manor Drive. 

Thefts

• At 5:11 p.m. on Friday, a theft was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard.

• At 5:40 p.m. on Friday, a theft was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 1:19 p.m. Monday, police responded to a report of an attempted theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Glenna D. Davis, 37, of Olympia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Disorderly Man Accused of Damaging Shopping Carts, Tipping Over Plants

• At 6:21 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a disorderly person in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The man was allegedly “destroying” shopping carts and “tipping over plants,” according to a report from the Chehalis Police Department. The man reportedly went into the store and lay down on the floor. No arrests were reported. 

Vehicle Stolen

• At 2:38 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Tacoma Residents Accused of Organized Retail Theft

• At 5:13 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman reportedly took two garbage disposals, and a man allegedly took two faucets. Tikisha K. Cranshaw, 44, of Tacoma, and Gary D. Utikal, 54, of Tacoma, were each arrested on suspicion of organized retail theft.

Trespassers Reported

• At 6 p.m. on Saturday, a trespasser was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 7:21 p.m. on Saturday, a trespasser was reported in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The suspect was reportedly “camping out” in a vehicle on the property. 

• At 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, a trespasser was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. 

DUI

• At 12:35 a.m. on Sunday, police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Arkansas Way and Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Noah E. Vanderfort, 18, of Shelton, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Harassment

• At 12:51 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of harassment in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. 

Tire Slasher Spotted

• At 6:25 a.m. on Sunday, a person in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reported seeing a man slash four tires on a vehicle. 

Hit and Run

• At 8:29 a.m. on Sunday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Main Street and Chehalis Avenue. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 196 inmates, including 168 in general population and 28 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 136 were men and 32 women and of WERC inmates, 26 were men and two women.
