Thieves Steal Hammock, Lawn Chairs, Mower

• At 8:18 a.m. on Friday, a hammock was reported stolen in the 500 block of South Gold Street. 

• At 10:48 a.m. on Friday, a Honda lawnmower, reclining law chairs and gardening tools were reported stolen from a backyard in the 500 block of South Gold Street. 

Two Arrested on Drug Possession Charge

• At 3 p.m. on Friday, police arrested Daniel G. Church, 56, of Onalaska, and Adam W. Dickerson, 43, of Centralia, in the 200 block of South Pearl Street on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Contents of Mail Stolen

• At 10:43 p.m. on Saturday, the contents of a package delivered to the 1000 block of K Street were reported stolen.

Teen Booked on Malicious Mischief Charge

• At 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, in the 2800 block of Russell Road. 

Centralia Man Referred on Drug Charge

• At 12:11 p.m. on Saturday, police contacted a 47-year-old Centralia man in the 900 block of Long Road on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. He is being referred for possible charges to prosecutors. 

Aberdeen Man Booked for Assault on Nurse

• At 4:57 p.m. on Saturday, police arrested Michael L. Hensley, 36, of Aberdeen, in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road on suspicion of third-degree assault. He allegedly assaulted a nurse at Providence Centralia Hospital. 

Woman Claims Assault with Bear Spray

• At 6:18 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the Riverside Fire Authority station in the 500 block of North Pearl Street to speak with a woman reporting that she had been sprayed with bear spray by an unknown suspect. Police investigated and learned the woman knew who attacked her, but would not tell police the person’s name. No arrests were made. 

Hit and Run

• At 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Adler and Mellen streets in Centralia. The running vehicle is described as a gray SUV.

• At 6:44 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1400 block of Johnson Road. 

Gas Siphoned

• At 7:48 a.m. on Monday, police received a break-in to a vehicle in the 900 block of Johnson Road. An unknown suspect broke into a fenced compound and siphoned gas from the vehicle.

Chair Stolen

• At 11:28 a.m. on Monday, a chair was reported stolen in the 800 block of Eshom Road. The investigation is ongoing.  

Phone Taken

• At 3:58 p.m. on Monday, a cellphone was reported stolen in the 2400 block of North Pearl Street. 

Woman Treated for Cuts After Assault with Bottle

• At 7:19 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 100 block of South Silver Street to a report that a woman was struck in the face with a glass bottle by a suspect who she didn’t know. The victim was transported to a hospital, where she was treated for cuts on her face. 

Police Investigate Facebook Extortion Claim

• At 11:13 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of possible extortion through Facebook in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard. The case is under investigation. 

Centralia Man Booked for DUI

• At 1:16 a.m. on Tuesday, police arrested Daniel E. Christensen, 30, of Centralia, in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Hit and Runs

• At 3:08 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a hit and run in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. 

• At 6:19 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 9:32 a.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way.

Washougal Man Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 6:35 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. Chad R. Lehn, 38, of Washougal, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

Trespassers Reported

• At 10:58 p.m. on Friday, a trespasser was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue. No arrests were made.

• At 3:12 p.m. on Sunday, trespassers were reported in a house in the 600 block of Northeast Franklin Avenue. 

Counterfeit Cash

• At 6:31 p.m. on Saturday, a counterfeit $100 was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Dog Reported Stolen

• At 9:54 p.m. on Saturday, a dog was reported stolen on Southwest Pacific Avenue. 

Garage Graffitied

• At 1:08 p.m. on Sunday, graffiti was reported on a garage in the 600 block of Southwest William Avenue. 

Credit Card Fraud Reported

• At 10:02 a.m. on Monday, credit card fraud was reported in the 600 block of West Main Street. 

Chehalis Woman Booked on Assault Charge

• At 5:38 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of an assault near the intersection of Southwest Riverside Drive and state Route 6. Officers arrested Jessica A. Schroeder, 29, of Chehalis, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Vehicle Stolen

• At 3:41 p.m. on Sunday, a black 1995 Acura Integra was reported stolen in the 300 block of Southwest 14th Street. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Tools, Chain Saw Stolen from Ashford Property

• Deputies are investigating a report of a burglary to a shop occurring between June 13 and Friday in the 200 block of Paradise Drive in Ashford. Power tools, a leaf blower, a chain saw, a power washer and other items were taken. The incident is under investigation. 

Randle Man Booked for Alleged Protection Order Violation

• At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies arrested James S. Toler, 62, of Randle, in the 100 block of Second Avenue South in Randle, on suspicion of violation of a protection order. Deputies went to the location to follow up with the alleged victim on a previous incident, and found Toler and the victim together despite a valid protection order. 

DUI Arrests

• At 2:14 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the 200 block of Penning Road in Chehalis. Aid crews could not locate the driver, but deputies reportedly found him walking nearby on state Route 6. Deputies arrested the driver, identified as Jesus S. Lazo, 19, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

• At 2:24 a.m. on Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Harrison and Hoss Road in Centralia and arrested driver Derek A. Grandorff, 23, of Rochester, on suspicion of DUI.

• At 10:51 p.m. on Sunday, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of state Route 505 in Winlock and arrested driver Justin A. Nichols, 22, of Toledo, on suspicion of DUI.

• At 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, deputies were on patrol in the area of the 1000 block of North Military Road in Winlock when they observed a vehicle speeding. They stopped the vehicle, and arrested driver Jeromy J. Burdick, 34, of Centralia, on suspicion of DUI.

Tools Stolen from Chehalis Business

• On Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a theft from a business in the 2200 block of Centralia-Alpha Road in Chehalis, which occurred in Chehalis. Items stolen include Stihl weed trimmers, chain saws, gas, oil and miscellaneous items valued at about $2,000. The theft is under investigation. 

Aberdeen Man Booked on Drug Charge in Doty

• At 2:57 a.m. on Monday, deputies responded to a report of a man acting strange in the 200 block of Stevens Road in Doty. The man was reportedly looking in the Doty General Store’s windows and walking through town looking at houses. James L. Louthan, 47, of Aberdeen, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
