A Level 2 sex offender recently registered as transient within Thurston County, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Shane T. Morse, 32, is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2001 conviction in Thurston County Superior Court for second-degree assault with sexual motivation. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

The conviction stems from Morse, at age 17, allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

Morse is described as a white male, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
