A man suspected in a home-invasion robbery in Pacific County early Thursday morning was arrested in a wooded area near Pe Ell with a stolen gun and methamphetamine, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

David K. Landis, 46, of Tacoma, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm and possession of methamphetamine.

At 7:51 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a wooded area in the 1000 block of Muller Road in Pe Ell after getting a report that a subject matching the description of a man suspected in an earlier home-invasion robbery in Pacific County was in the area.

Deputies found the man, who was reportedly wearing a firearm on his right hip. The gun, a Springfield 1911, had been reported stolen in King County.

Landis was also allegedly in possession of a .22 rifle, found in a ditch nearby. Landis reportedly gave deputies consent to search his vehicle, where they reported finding a bindle of methamphetamine.
