A trailer was destroyed by a fire on Jan. 2 on Goff Road in Chehalis.
A toy-hauler trailer and garage in rural Chehalis were damaged Thursday in a fire likely caused by a malfunctioning generator being used to charge batteries, the Chehalis Fire Department reported
The incident was reported at 2:21 p.m. Thursday on Goff Road. The Chehalis Fire Department, and Lewis County fire districts 5 and 6 responded and found a toy hauler trailer on fire, with flames extending to a nearby garage.
Crews stopped the fire before it entered the interior of the garage.
Damage is estimated at $75,000. No injuries were reported.
