A national TV program premiering this weekend will feature Nancy Moyer, a Tenino woman missing since March 2009.

The Investigation Discovery Channel will air the episode “A Date with Danger,” as part of their "Disappeared" series at 9 p.m. Sunday, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The episode is expected to feature Thurston County Detective Ben Elkins and retired Detective Dave Haller.

Moyer was 36 when she was reported missing in mysterious circumstances on March 8, 2009. She was last seen two days earlier. Her husband found the front door of her home open, her car parked in the driveway and her purse still in the house, but Moyer was gone.

In 2016, Elkins told The Chronicle he believed Moyer was dead.

“Somebody knows. Somebody knows something, but unfortunately no one has come to us and said something,” he said.

Elkins took over the case more than five years ago.

“She left her purse, what gal leaves their purse when they go somewhere? There was a lot of things that the evidence showed that’s inconsistent with her up and leaving,” he said in 2016. “She wouldn’t have just left her kids. I think someone killed her, is my belief.”

The Investigation Discovery Channel can be found at: Comcast — Channel 271, DIRECTV  — Channel 285, Dish — Channel 192, and after the premiere on Sunday, the show will become available for streaming on iTunes and Netflix.according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
