An Onalaska woman faces a charge of negligent driving after a two-vehicle collision in Grays Harbor County injured a man on a motorcycle.

The injured man, a 50-year-old Lacey resident, was transported to Summit Pacific Hospital for treatment, according to the Washington State Patrol.

According to a news release from the Washington State Patrol, at around 6:36 p.m. Monday, first responders went to the area of U.S. Highway 12 and Porter Creek Road west of Oakville for a collision.

There they found two vehicles had been heading westbound on U.S. Highway 12 — a Volkswagen Jetta and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Volkswagen went into a center turn lane, but the driver — a 20-year-old Onalaska woman — then changed her mind and pulled back into the lane of travel, striking the motorcycle.

The Volkswagen’s driver was not injured. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be a factor in the collision, according to the state patrol.
