Littering Reported 

• At 3:08 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a person throwing glass bottles out of a car in the 700 block of Southwest 19th Street. 

 

Shoplifter Cited

for Taking Candy

• Kayleigh McDaniel, 28, of Chehalis, was cited and released at 6:12 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard on suspicion of shoplifting three bags of candy.

 

Dog Reported Stolen

• At 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, a person in the 500 block of Northwest Pacific Avenue reported a dog stolen.

 

Vandalism Reported

at W.F. West

• At 9:58 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of vandalism at W.F. West High School. The caller reported toilet paper and spray paint all over the school.

 

Vicious Dog Reported

• At 8:05 a.m. on Monday, a person in the 900 block of Cascade Avenue reported being bitten by a dog.

 

Centralia Police Department

Transient Cited for Trespass

• Ian E. Roe, 35, a transient, was cited for criminal trespass and booked into the Lewis County Jail on an outstanding warrant after a person reported seeing him in their neighbor’s shed at 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia.

 

Wheelchair Reported Stolen

• At 5:29 a.m. on Sunday, a person reported a wheelchair stolen in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road. A suspect has been identified and the incident is under investigation.

 

Thief Needs a Smoke

• Mary A. Orlik, 26, of Centralia, was cited and released for third-degree theft at 5:48 p.m. Sunday after allegedly stealing an electronic cigarette from a business in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue.

 

Thief Needs a Beer

• At 9:49 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a person shoplifting beer in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue. The incident is under investigation.

 

Thief Needs Energy

• At 10:34 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of a person shoplifting an energy drink in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia. The incident is under investigation.

Chehalis Man Arrested

for DUI After Collision

• Mikail A. Bullock, 25, of Chehalis, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. May 29 in the 2200 block of Rice Road on suspicion of DUI after driving a 2003 Ford Focus into a ditch. 

 

17 Juveniles Cited

for Alcohol Possession

• Lewis County Sheriff’s Officers responded at 1:12 a.m. May 30 to reports of juveniles having a party in the 700 block of state Route 7 in Morton. When deputies and troopers from the Washington State Patrol responded, some of the teens ran into the woods. Officers cited 17 juveniles on minor in possession of alcohol charges. The teens were from Mossyrock, Morton, Randle and Glenoma. 

 

Man Arrested for Domestic Violence, Animal Cruelty

Philip L. Ray, 34, of Winlock, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. May 30 on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence; second-degree animal cruelty and third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, in the 100 block of Brady Lane. A 30-year-old woman reported that they were arguing before Ray allegedly kicked their dog and threw items at her. 

 

Motorcycle Helmet Stolen

• A motorcycle helmet valued at $850 was reported stolen May 31 in the 800 block of Forest Service Road 25.

 

Centralia Man Arrested for Wednesday Vehicle Theft

• William J. Larson, 42, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail at 2:45 p.m. Monday on suspicion of vehicle theft, second-degree vehicle prowl and theft. Larson is accused of stealing a car and $2,200 in tools on Wednesday.

 

Riverside Fire Authority

No Injuries Reported in Car Fire

• Riverside Fire Authority crews responded at 3:20 p.m. Sunday to the 1400 block of Johnson Road after receiving reports of a car fire. Firefighters extinguished a fire in the vehicle’s engine compartment. No other vehicles were damaged. The fire was determined to be accidental.

 

Washington State Patrol

Centralia Driver Injured in Chehalis Semi Crash

• A 32-year-old Centralia man and 24-year-old Clinton woman were injured in a collision at 10:31 p.m. Sunday on I-5 in Chehalis after a semi-trailer crossed a lane line and hit their vehicle, propelling them into a guardrail. According to a report from the Washington State Patrol, the 1998 Freightliner truck was driven by a 39-year-old Clackamas, Oregon, man, who was not injured. The Centralia man and his passenger were injured and transported to Providence Centralia Hospital.

 

Morton Police Department

Man Arrested for Assault               in Morton

• Jordan Miles Gillispie, 24, of Morton, was arrested just before midnight Sunday in the 700 block of West Main Avenue in Morton on suspicion of assault. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail at 12:22 a.m. Monday. Gillispie made his first appearance in Lewis County Superior Court Monday, and has been charged with second-degree assault, domestic violence.
