Sirens: Dine and Dash; Rifle Stolen from Home; Tip Jar Thief Found in Stolen Car

Dine and Dash

• Four teenagers reportedly stole food by dining and dashing from a restaurant in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at 7:38 p.m. Monday. Some of the suspects have been identified, but not yet located. The investigation is ongoing.

Rifle Stolen From Home

• A .22-caliber rifle was reported stolen at 3:19 p.m. Monday from a home in the 1200 block of Jalyn Court in Centralia. The rifle looks like an AK-47, but only shoots a .22-caliber bullet, according to police.

 

Two MIPs

• Zachery T. Moreno, 19, of Centralia, and Baylor J. Scott, 19, of Centralia, were cited and released for minor in possession of liquor in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia at

10:13 p.m. Monday. 

DUI on Main Street

• Tanisha M. Joblonski, 21, of Curtis, was arrested and booked for driving under the influence in the 300 block of East Main Street in Centralia at 12:50 a.m. Sunday. 

Tip Jar Thief Found in Stolen Car

• Officers responded to a report of a man, later identified as James E. Reineke, stealing a tip jar from a business. Police located Reineke, a 34-year-old transient, in a stolen vehicle a short time later. Reineke was arrested and booked for possession of a stolen vehicle. Police will later determine whether to file a third-degree theft charge also. The incident is associated with an address in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia and occurred at about 10:20 a.m. Sunday.

DUI

• Matthew D. Gillespie, 49, of Centralia, was arrested for driving under the influence at the intersection of Seward Avenue and Carson Street in Centralia at 5:37 a.m. Saturday.

Man Tries to Flee Without Paying for Meal, Hits Bartender

• Officers arrested Chase N. Ettner, 30, of Centralia, after he allegedly fled without paying for food and drink and then hit a bartender in the face when she tried to detain him. The incident occurred at a business in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia at 9:24 p.m. Friday. Ettner was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for robbery.

DUI in Vader

• Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch in the 600 block of D Street in Vader at 7:33 p.m. Monday. They contacted Patricia R. Vanzwol, 52, of Vader, who was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for suspected driving under the influence.

Shop Items Stolen

• The sheriff’s office is investigating a residential burglary that occurred between Feb. 14 and Feb. 21 in the 100 block of Highway 603 in Chehalis. The victim, a 60-year-old Chehalis man, told deputies someone entered a shop bay and stole saws, chain saws, a table saw, an air compressor and a pressure washer. All items reported stolen are valued at $5,500.

 

Morton Police Department

Domestic Violence

• Officers arrested Rhiannon L. Foister, 36, of Morton after she allegedly hit a family member and would not cooperate with a police investigation in the 800 block of Overlook Drive at 11 p.m. Saturday. She was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Underage Drinking

• Two juveniles were referred for minor in possession and/or consumption of alcohol after an officer noticed them walking on Williams Street in Mossyrock at 12:59 a.m. Friday. The officer allegedly could smell alcohol on their breath. They were released to their parents.
