A 91-year-old woman was killed and a 25-year-old Shelton man faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and driving under the influence, after a head-on collision north of Shelton Saturday night, according to Washington State Patrol.

The woman, who died at the scene of the crash, has been identified as Dorothy A. Glover of Hoodsport.

About 7:30 p.m., the woman, a passenger in a car with three other people, was headed north on U.S. 101, just north of the Port of Shelton. Meanwhile, a Shelton man was driving south.

Troopers say the Shelton man crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the other vehicle. He fled "upon the arrival of law enforcement, but was later apprehended," a State Patrol memo reads.

The Shelton man faces possible charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, felony hit and run, and DUI.

In addition, the three other people in the car with Glover were hurt. The driver, a 62-year-old Hoodsport woman, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Two men in the car, also from Hoodsport, were taken to hospitals in Shelton and Olympia.

The 25-year-old Shelton man also was hurt and taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
