The Black Hills girls basketball team improved to 5-0 on Friday, as the Wolves topped Elma 46-27.
The Wolves stifled the Eagles’ offense in the first half, allowing just six points while opening up a 19-point halftime lead.
Elma had more success offensively in the second half, but the Wolves were able to maintain their lead by scoring 13 in the third and eight in the fourth.
Tyler Venable led the team with 13 points, and she also came away with four steals defensively.
Ashley Harris and Claire Johnson both just missed out on a double-double, as Harris scored 10 points and came down with nine rebounds while Johnson tallied nine points and tallied eight rebounds.
The Wolves return to 2A EvCo action next week, as they’ll host Shelton on Tuesday.
