The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Wheat’s Alaskan Camper Service & Restoration at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

The event marks the official opening of the new service center, located at 110 Sears Road in Chehalis, according to a news release from the chamber.

Owner Bryan Wheat has been in the Alaskan Camper business since 1992, when he began working with his father, who bought Alaskan Campers and moved it to Winlock in 1991, the release stated. Following the sale of Alaskan Campers in Winlock in 2023, Wheat launched Wheat’s Alaskan Camper Service & Restoration in January 2024.

“We were so busy setting up shop and handling repairs, we never really got around to formally announcing we were open,” Wheat said. “Now seemed like a good time to finally celebrate the new business and that we work on other RV’s and not just Alaskans.”

The public is invited to stop by, meet Wheat and his staff, tour the facility, and learn more about their camper restoration and repair services. Wheat noted that, “Fall and winter are a great time to get campers prepped for hunting season or ready for storage.”

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce hosts ribbon-cutting ceremonies to honor and celebrate the work and investment required to open or expand a business and to recognize other key milestones.
