W.F. West tops Centralia in first Swamp Cup meeting

The W.F. West boys golf team won the first Swamp Cup matchup of the season, taking down Centralia 214-268 at Newaukum Valley Golf Club.

Jamie Conzatti led the Bearcats and was named the match medalist by carding a 40, a round highlighted by a birdie on Hole 7.

Fox Rogerson also found success on Hole 7, hitting an eagle to highlight his day that finished with a 45. Jayce Ayers also shot a 45, while Emmett Goodman carded a 41 and Gage Wiens shot a 43.



Tyler Fagerness led the Tigers with a 43, including a birdie on Hole 3. Jake Johnson shot a 53, Sawyer Donahue carded a 55, Jonas Howard finished with a 57, and Tristan Henning shot a 60.

Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday. Centralia will be back home at Riverside to face Kelso, while W.F. West will head to Portland to face Hockinson at Heron Lakes Golf Club.

“Looking forward to getting another round in tomorrow,” W.F. West coach Matt Klovdahl said.
