W.F. West gets whole roster involved to blow out Aberdeen

It was a full-fledged effort by the Bearcats on Tuesday night, getting 14 girls court time and seeing 12 end up in the scorebook in crushing the Bobcats 86-28 in Aberdeen to remain perfect in Evergreen Conference play.

After erupting for 31 points in the first quarter, W.F. West head coach Kyle Karnofski balanced out the rotations to get as many girls on the floor. Three ended up in double figures with Joy Cushman leading the way with 18. Dilyn Boeck added 17 and Mallory Gaskill scored a career-high 14.

“It was nice to play a little deeper,” Karnofski said. “Girls had fun, good energy as a group. (Mallory) is starting to put the pieces together. This is a good week to start figuring out where we are as a group.”

The Bearcats scored at least 10 points in every quarter and played the entire second half on a running clock. They will face Eatonville in a rescheduled game on Wednesday before taking on Shelton on the road on Friday.
