Though Black Hills’ Luke Fenner took medalist honors, three Tumwater boys golfers finished with a score below 40, and the Thunderbirds defeated the Wolves at Tumwater Valley Golf Course, 198-234.
Gabe Johnston, Kaden Clark, and Nolan Cambell all carded a 39, with Reagan Broome finishing at 40, Braeden Konrad at 41, and Landon Baydo in the sixth spot at a 43. The all-around strength of the T-Birds’ lineup led to a strong win despite losing out on the best score from BH’s Fenner.
Behind Fenner, Jack Casler shot a 44, Luke Verlangie shot a 49, Malcolm Meierbachtol shot a 49, and Ripley Schumacher and KC Sandquist both shot a 56.
