Colton Weiss dished out zeros on the scoreboard over the final three innings and in the top of the seventh, hit a fly ball to left field that plated the game-winning run in the Warriors 6-5 non-league win over the Panthers on Saturday night at the RORC.
After Washougal tied the game at 5-5 on a balk and a wild pitch that plated two runs, Weiss entered the mound and allowed three hits to earn the win. His sacrifice fly came after a two-base error and a SAC bunt that moved Ruger Culp to third base.
In the bottom half, Weiss got a double play and a groundout to strand the tying and winning runs on base. Rochester (5-4) led 2-1, 3-2 and 5-2 against its former district rival. Kole Smith roped a pair of doubles to drive in two runs while Simon Barth had two hits, scored twice and recorded a stolen base.
The Warriors get back to league play on Tuesday against Elma for the first of three games versus the Eagles.
