One of the best throwers in SW Washington picked up three wins on Saturday. The Acorns senior Lewis Koser thrashed his PR in both the shot put and discus at the Ray Ryan Invite in Hoquiam.
It’s the first time in his prep career he’s gone over 50 feet in shot, besting his throw from a league meet last week by nearly a foot. The two-time state discus champ’s throw of 171-01 bested the rest of the field by over 40 feet.
And in the javelin, an event he’s sparingly done, his throw of 147-08 was better than his previous best by over five feet. Oakville’s other medalist was Skyler Moretti, eighth in the open 200.
On the girls side, the Acorns’ only medalist was junior Destiny Beaver taking third in the 300 hurdles and sixth in the 100 hurdles.
Winlock’s Sancho, Tenino’s McKauge garner multiple wins in Tenino
