Third Congressional District candidates Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Republican Joe Kent are taking part in a debate hosted by the League of Women Voters in Vancouver Saturday at 2 p.m.

They are each seeking to replace U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, who was ousted in the primary. The general election is Nov. 8
Journalists from The Chronicle, The Columbian, the Chinook Observer, The Daily News and the Skamania County Pioneer helped develop questions for the debate and are serving as panelists.
The debate is set to end at 3:15 p.m. A full video of the debate will be posted sometime after that.
