The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is searching for the person or persons who shot and wasted a spike bull elk near Montesano in Grays Harbor County, according to a Nov. 10 news release.
WDFW officials said the young bull elk was killed unlawfully on or around Nov. 6 on the Melbourne A-200 road in the Minot Game Management Unit.
A cash reward or “bonus points” toward special permit hunting opportunities could be available to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest, the department said.
The department encouraged anyone with information to call 360-902-2936 and select option 1, or text WDFWTIP to 847411.
