The Washington Acoustic Music Association will host a concert and guitar workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. June 14, with the concert starting at 7 p.m. at the Oakview Grange in Centralia.
The world renowned fingerstyle guitarist Richard Smith will perform the workshop and concert, according to a news release from the association.

Smith’s music encompasses bluegrass, gypsy jazz, western swing, classical Bach and Beatles pop, according to the release. It includes Scott Joplin rags, Souza marches, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed songs and Django Reinhardt’s gypsy swing, along with his own originals.
Smith won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, in 2001. The National Thumbpickers Hall of Fame named him Thumbpicker of the Year in 2009 and 2021, and inducted him into the Hall of Fame in 2009.
