Two goals by Kenna Pratt, the final coming in the 65th minute, allowed the Rochester High School girls soccer team to draw against Kelso 3-3 at home in a non-league contest on Tuesday night.
Rochester (3-6-1) led at half 2-1 after an early goal by Pratt in the 28th minute then defender Ariel Maekawa-Sanborn tallied her goal 10 minutes later. Both strikes were from 25 and 35-yards out, respectively.
“I am super proud of the effort the entire team put on the field tonight,” Warriors head coach Matt Ashton said. “The improvement is showing week to week, game by game.”
Kelso scored its three goals in the 7th, 44th and 52nd minute to briefly take leads of 1-0 and 3-2 before the Warriors, who continue Class 1A Evergreen League play on Thursday at Montesano, responded.
