A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 28-year-old Portland resident accused of stealing $4,273 from a Lewis County resident’s credit union account.
Apolloeleven Tasi Ioane was issued a summons to appear in Lewis County Superior Court on Wednesday, Oct. 21, but did not appear in court as required by law.
Judge Joely O’Rourke agreed to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office’s request that a $10,000 bench warrant be issued for his arrest.
Ioane faces charges of second-degree theft and second-degree computer trespassing, both Class C felonies punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000, as well as first-degree identity theft, a Class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by the prosecutor’s office, a Lewis County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Aug. 24 took a report from a local man who said $4,273.27 had been taken from his bank account at Peak Credit Union. The man was contacted by the credit union, which alerted him to the suspicious transaction.
The man verified the withdrawal was unauthorized and that the money had been stolen from him. When he tried to access his online account, he found that someone had changed the login information and he was no longer able to access it.
A fraud specialist with the credit union told the deputy the unauthorized transfer had been made from the Lewis County man’s account to a newly opened member account.
The account belonged to Ioane, according to court documents. The fraud specialist identified Ioane as a female born in 1998, though court documents elsewhere state that Ioane is a male. The specialist provided a Portland address for Ioane.
“The fraud specialist said the (credit union) had pulled ATM surveillance footage of loane withdrawing cash after the fraudulent transfers, and that a coworker had confirmed it was the same individual by comparing the footage to her ID card photo,” the affidavit of probable cause states. “The fraud specialist explained that after the transfer into loane's account, the funds were moved through several transactions, all occurring on 08/22/2026, as follows: one Cash App transfer request for $1,000.00, two ATM withdrawals of $450.00 each occurring at 1307 NE 102nd Ave, Suite G, Portland, OR 97220 between the hours of 1832 and 1833 hours, two ilani Casino cash advances one of $1060.00 and the other for $530.00.”
Approximately $690 remained in Ioane’s account after the withdrawals.
The credit union refunded the Lewis County man his money, but the Peak is now out the funds.
