The Mossyrock volleyball team remained undefeated in league play on Thursday, sweeping Naselle 25-11, 25-17, 25-19.

It’s the Vikings’ (10-2, 9-0 1B Columbia Valley) second sweep of the Comets this year, and it extends their lead atop the league standings. At 9-0, the Vikings are two and a half games above 6-2 Columbia Adventist, which they beat in four sets in late September.

Mossyrock was nearly flawless serving the ball, tallying 12 aces as a team and hitting 96 percent of its serves on the night.

Erin Cournyer and Adyson Barrows had three aces each, while Cournyer also added 13 assists and nine kills. Chesney Schultz added two aces and five kills.

Delaney Marshall led the team with seven digs, though Abbie Lovan wasn’t far behind with six.

Up next for the Vikings is a non-conference clash, as they’ll welcome 2B Toutle Lake on Monday before returning to league play on Thursday against Pe Ell.
