Led by a strong day at the plate and shutdown performance by Erin Cournyer, the Mossyrock softball team defeated Morton-White Pass up the road at White Pass High School, 15-1.

The Vikings blasted eight hits, and took advantage of six MWP errors in the dominant, five inning win.

Hailey Brooks went 2 for 2 with three runs scored and three RBIs, Abbie Lovan added a triple that scored a run, and Delaney Marshall went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs.

In the circle, Cournyer threw a complete five innings, allowing just four hits with one earned run, three walks, and five punchouts.

On the other side, Natalia Armstrong went 2 for 3 at leadoff to lead the way for the Timberwolves.

Mossyrock returns to action on Friday against Toutle Lake on the road, while Morton-White Pass will hope to bounce back against Wahkiakum on the road next Thursday.
