‘The Nutcracker’ Coming to Corbet Theatre
Southwest Washington Dance Center’s performing company, Southwest Washington Dance Ensemble, will present its 18th annual production of the full-length holiday classic, “The Nutcracker,” Dec. 13-15 at Corbet Theater on the Centralia College campus.
Performance times will be 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 13, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p,m on Dec. 14, and 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 15.
The 2013 production of “The Nutcracker” is under the direction of Danielle Brosco and Russell Capps. The Dance Ensemble is made up of more than 100 dancers from the Southwest Washington Dance Center and children and adults from the Lewis County area.
Local performers with lead roles are Scott Middleton as Heir Drosselmeier; Mark and Sandra Young as Mr. and Mrs. Staulbaum; and Trent Vlach as Mother Ginger. Emma Stehr and Josey Rosbach share the role of Clara.
Dancing principal roles are: Anna Scheibmeir, Victoria Rodriguez, Gideon Newkirk, Madison Hall, Tressa Coultard, Marisa Hall, Ciara Kimball, Tanner Calder, RuthAnn Swart, Julia Dallas, Kaitlin Davis and Christina Hill.
Ticket prices are $22 for adults, $15 for seniors (62 and up) and children 18 and under.

After Dec. 8, tickets will only be available online, at the box office of Corbet Theatre on the campus of Centralia College 1-8 p.m. or by telephone. All seating is reserved.

Lighted Tractor Parade Coming to Centralia
The fourth annual Lighted Tractor Parade will fill the streets of downtown Centralia with vintage and modern tractors, antique trucks and construction equipment, all bedecked with dazzling lights.
The parade, starting at 6 p.m. and traveling Tower Avenue and Main Street, celebrates the season and the city’s agricultural, logging and train heritage.
In lieu of an entrance fee, the Centralia Downtown Association is asking participants and spectators to bring canned food to be donated to the Salvation Army. Santa’s helpers will be at the parade to take the canned food. The Centralia Downtown Association, sponsors of the parade, will deliver the donations to the Salvation Army.
Rochester Group Hosting Breakfast
The Rochester Scholarship Association is sponsoring a Santa's Breakfast.
It will be held at Rochester High School, 19800 Carper Road, Rochester.
The breakfast begins at 8 a.m. and lasts through 10 a.m.
The money benefits seniors at Rochester High School.
