Unofficial results for the April 22 special election will be available around 8:15 p.m. on election night at https://elections.lewiscountywa.gov, the Lewis County Auditor’s Office announced Friday.

“Please be aware several counties in Washington state are uploading their election results to the Secretary of State’s reporting site at the same time on election night. That does cause a delay in the results posting online. Be patient and keep checking,” the Lewis County Auditor’s Office said in a news release.

A PDF of local results will be posted on the Lewis County Auditor’s Office website shortly after 8 p.m. on election night.

Ballots must be postmarked by April 22 or returned to a Lewis County ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on election night.

A stamp is not necessary, as all ballot return envelopes include prepaid postage, according to the Lewis County Auditor’s Office.

Only voters within the boundaries of a district with a measure on the ballot will receive a ballot for this election.

More information on each measure and the election can be found online at https://elections.lewiscountywa.gov/current-election/.

The three school districts each have proposed replacement levies for programs and operations funding. The new levies would take the place of previous levies and be used to fund programs and operations that are either only partially funded by the state or not funded at all.

The levy proposed by the Mossyrock School District No. 206 would equal $1.27 per $1,000 of assessed value through fiscal year 2028.

The levy proposed by the Onalaska School District No. 300 would equal $1.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value through fiscal year 2028.

The levy proposed by the Winlock School District No. 232 would equal $1.12 per $1,000 of assessed property value through fiscal year 2027.

Finally, Lewis County Fire District 4 in Morton has proposed a bond to construct a new fire station that would replace the current station building. If the proposal passes, the district will issue $3 million in bonds to be paid out using excess property tax levies.

County certification of the election results will take place at 9 a.m. on May 2.
