On Saturday, Oct. 7, the United Way of Lewis County will host its “Pints with Purpose” brewfest fundraiser at The Orchard at Sunshine Hill, located at 2178 S. Scheuber Road in Chehalis, according to a news release.

Attendees are invited to raise their glasses in support of Lewis County kids and families from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Orchard. Aside from enjoying local craft beers, wines and ciders, food from the Los Costenos food truck will be available along with live music, a silent auction and game. The event is for those 21 and older.

“We are extremely excited to partner with so many great sponsors and our local breweries to raise awareness for their great products at the same time working to help lift families out of poverty,” former United Way of Lewis County Executive Director Christian Bruhn said in the release. “It gives the opportunity for community members to support our ‘Cradle to Career and Beyond’ initiative and have a fun afternoon out with amazing local beers, food and music. And we couldn’t be happier with our venue, it is the perfect spot for this event. It is a win-win for both local businesses and our community!”

General admission tickets are $30 and include a custom pint glass and punch card to get samples of beer, wine and cider. VIP tickets can be purchased for $50.

On top of the pint glass and punch card, VIP ticket holders will get an extra free pour of the attendee’s choice, free tacos and brewfest merchandise.

All proceeds go to the United Way of Lewis County to aid in its mission to lift 30% of the county’s population out of poverty by 2030.

Additionally, volunteers are needed to work the event, according to a Sept. 14 United Way of Lewis County Facebook post.

“We need volunteers for various activities including beverage servers who need to have a MAST (mandatory alcohol serving training) permit,” the post stated.
