United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) will host a breast cancer awareness march on Saturday, Oct. 21, in downtown Centralia, according to a news release.

The family-friendly event will begin at George Washington Park, located at 110 S. Silver St. in Centralia.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase. Additionally, donation opportunities, raffles, giveaways, face painting, balloon animals and more will be available. Registration for the march is free and opens at 9 a.m., with the march starting at 10 a.m.

Those participating will walk a 1 1/2-mile route, which will be closed to traffic for safety and accessible to all, according to the release. Participants are encouraged to wear pink as the event is a “pink-out.”

“UNFI Centralia is passionate about the world around us. This passion took on a new meaning for me when my wife Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer last February,” UNFI General Manager Tom Jaurequi said in the release. “Our Centralia team and I are proud to sponsor the Breast Cancer Awareness March on Oct. 21. We hope you will join us because, collectively, we can change the world and make quality treatment, and eventually a cure, available to everyone.”
