Two-vehicle crash outside Chehalis results in one injury

A two-vehicle crash resulted in one driver being transported to the hospital Wednesday morning, Aug. 20.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision, which occurred about 9:25 a.m. outside Chehalis near Claquato, was caused when Barbara A. Robinson, 77, of Chehalis, made an unsafe left turn onto state Route 6 from Chilvers Road.

Upon making the turn, Robinson’s grey 2019 Dodge van was struck by a blue 1999 Toyota sedan traveling along Route 6, driven by Jessica A. Perrigo, 44, of Vancouver, Washington.

Perrigo reportedly suffered injuries and was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital.



Neither Robinson or her passenger, Sandra B. Swindler, 75, Chehalis, were injured. All drivers were reportedly wearing seatbelts.

No drugs or alcohol were involved.

Both cars were totaled.
