Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision Near Morton on Tuesday

Two people were transported to Arbor Health Morton Hospital for injuries they sustained in a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 12 near Morton on Tuesday. 

The driver who was allegedly at fault for the collision, identified by Washington State Patrol as Dave A. Gustafson, 60, of Packwood, was reportedly driving westbound on U.S. Highway 12 when he lost control and spun out, entering the eastbound lane. He reportedly continued traveling westbound in the eastbound lane, colliding with two vehicles, according to the state patrol. 

Gustafson and one of the other drivers, a 74-year-old Bellingham man, were transported to the hospital for their injuries. The third driver was not injured. 



All three vehicles were totalled and were towed from the scene. 

The state patrol was dispatched to the scene just before 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to State Patrol.
