Two people were hospitalized after their truck veered off of U.S. Highway 12 east of Packwood on Monday.
A 47-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both of Kennewick, were reportedly driving a blue 2009 Peterbilt 389 truck westbound on U.S. Highway 12 when the truck failed to negotiate the curve at milepost 139, veered off the roadway and came to rest down an embankment, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 6:15 p.m. on March 31.
Speed was determined as the cause of the crash.
Both occupants of the truck were transported to Arbor Health Morton Hospital for treatment.
