Two men were shot to death in downtown Tacoma early Sunday.

Tacoma police officers were dispatched at about 12:30 a.m. to reports of shots fired near the 800 block of Pacific Avenue, the Police Department reported in a news release.

Officers found two men with life-threatening injuries and began lifesaving measures until Tacoma Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced both men dead, the department said.

Detectives and crime scene analysts were investigating the deaths as homicides.

Shelbie Boyd, a Tacoma police officer and spokesperson, said a woman also was shot and self-transported to a local hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.

No arrests had been made in the shootings as of Sunday night, Boyd said. Anyone with information was asked to call 911.
