Two men died in what police said were unrelated shootings Saturday in Federal Way.
The first occurred at 4:20 p.m., when police responded to a call that a man had been shot in the 1100 block of South 320th Street. When officers arrived, a 20-year-old man was in a parking lot with a gunshot wound.
Officers and medics performed first aid, but the man died at the scene. No suspects have been identified.
Hours later, just after 11 p.m., Federal Way police responded to another shooting over a mile away off Southwest 330th Street.
When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Once again, they performed first aid, but the man died at the scene.
Detectives identified a person of interest in the second shooting and were actively looking for that person, who knew the victim and was not believed to be a threat to the public.
Police said the shootings are not related and asked anyone with information to call 253-835-2121.
