A two-car collision occurred off Tucker Road about 4:22 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, when a driver failed to yield to the right of way to another driver traveling on U.S. Highway 12.
Jason R. Fields, 52, Longview, was the driver of the first vehicle, a 1997 Ford F-350. He was driving on Tucker Road at the intersection of Highway 12 when, according to a memo from the Washington State Patrol, he reportedly pulled in front of a second vehicle, a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Hernan Hernandez Sanchez, 27, of Mossyrock, as the Crosstrek was traveling westbound on Highway 12.
The Crosstrek proceeded to strike the F-350, and was determined to be totaled at the scene. Though Hernandez Sanchez reportedly sustained injuries, he was not transported to the hospital.
The F-350 received reportable damage. No injuries were listed for Fields or his passenger, Allen G. Kent, 43, of Longview.
All three individuals were wearing seat belts. No drugs or alcohol were involved.
