Twin City Wrestling Club wins second straight Folkstyle Tournament

The Twin City Wrestling Club came out on top at the Thurston County Folkstyle Tournament again last week, taking home the team title for the second year in a row.

The TCWC scored 183.5 points, good enough to best Kelso/Longview’s Thunder Mountain Wrestling Club by 8.5.

The club had several individual champions as well. 

Kane Ragsac (U6, 40-41 pounds),Jaxon Martinez (U6, 44-45), Beau Babka (U8, 70), Zayvynn Sanders (U10, 49), Kash Davis (U10, 59), Grayson Day (U10, 71), Thomas Ritchey (U12, 78-79), and Brayden Wheeler (U12, 160) all finished atop their weight respective classes.



Ella Greenwood (76-80), Skyler Powell (88-93), and Alayna Anau (100-102) all won in the elementary girls division, while Ritchey and Ellowyn Cserni (183) finished atop their classes at the middle school level.

Among the runner-ups were Landon MacNeil, Winston Walton, Luke Vizgaudis, Jayden Vizgaudis, Michael Rice, Triton Wait, Gunnar Vlach, Anna Porter, Jordyn Turnquist, Kimber Wair, Addie Ojard, and Hunter Fulwider.

Easton Fulwider, Julian Huang, Jameson Mays, Harrison Woodward, Nicholas Schultz, Beau Simpson, Adalina Nommensen, Cash Laufenberg, and Marshall Turnquist were among the third-place finishers.

The Mat Cats’ next match will be at the Northwest Folkstyle Challenge at Bremerton High School, which begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
