The Twin City Wrestling Club took fourth place out of 55 teams competing at the Battle of the Woods tournament in Eatonville on Sunday.
Out of nearly 500 individual wrestlers, 51 wrestlers from the TCWC placed.
Seven Mat Cats earned gold medals, including Winston Walton (U6 50), Thomas Ritchey (Y12 78), Gunnar Vlach (U12 160), Anna Porter (Elementary Girls 68), Alaya Anau (Elementary Girls 99), Kilynn Owens (Elementary Girls 109), and Brody Sayers (USA Junior 150).
A dozen more finished in the runner-up spot, including Kane Ragsac (U6 40), Jaxon Martinez (U6 45), Landon MacNeil (U6 49), Jacob Hilliard (U8 56), Brayden Wheeler (U12 160). Among the elementary girls, Charlotte Porter (43), Addie Ojard (60), Adalina Nommensen (63), Sylarr Powell (91), Kimber Wait (99), and Kalyani Brown (109) also took second, as did Chloe Gelvin (Middle School 94).
At U8 62, Nommensen also took third, as did Zayvynn Sanders (U10 49), Jayden Vizgaudis (U10 56), Kash Davis (U10 59), Triton Wait (U10 84), Kaed Davis (U12 86), Kaiden Coates (U12 108), Lula-May Hilliard (Elementary Girls 60), Cash Laufenberg (Middle School 125), and Dallas McGrath (Middle Scool 130).
Luke Vizgauis (U8 49), Liam MacNeil (U8 62), Kolten Gould (U12 117), Isley Ware (Elementary Girls 57), Kylie Stafford (Elementary Girls 79), Lincoln Bernard (Middle School Boys 97), and Alayna Anau (Middle School Girls 103) took fourth.
Talmai Houk (U8 49), Jace Hanson (U10 67), Michael Rice (U10 77), Hunter Rice (U10 84), Triton Wait (U10 93), Ethan Frailey (U12 82), Archer Bogar (U12 98), Karson Cheney (U12 108), Gibson Morgan (Middle School 114), and Jonny Schultz (Middle School 130) finished fifth in their respective classes.
Rounding out the placers were five wrestlers who placed sixth, including Julian Huang (U8 62), Cohen Jewell (U10 77), Owen Capen (U12 86), Korbin Davis (Middle School 110), and Darin Ware (Middle School 125).
Next up for the TCWC is the WASAW Folkstyle State Tournament on Sunday at the Tacoma Dome.
