The Twin City Wrestling Club impressed at the Washington State Wrestling Association Takedown Express Classic on Sunday, where the club finished third.
Leading the way for the Mat Cats was Kash Davis, who scored 24 points, while Brock Blankenship added 23. Bowen Driscoll and Jace Hanson both scored 20, Luke Vizgaudis tallied 20.5, and Isabelle Nelson and Jeffrey Landon logged 20 apiece. Jameson Mays and Jacob Miragila both recorded 17, and Camden Ochsner had 16.
The Mat Cats finished with three champions: Isabella Nelson (Girls K-2nd 52.4-57.2), Bowen Driscoll (U8 45), and Kash Davis (U12 70).
They also had 10 runner-ups: Landen Hill (U6 43.4-46.8), Emberly Sharp (Girls K-2nd 50.2-51.4), Eziya Gomez (Girls K-2nd 54.8-58.4), Luke Vizgaudis (U10 63), Brock Blankenship (U10 105), Zayvynn Sanders (U12 58), Jace Hanson( U12 82), Camden Ochsner (U12 135), Annabelle McBee (Girls 6th-8th F120-125), Atrayewe Brown (USA Junior 132-137.4).
And they had 10 third-place wrestlers: Khai Davis (U8 43), Christopher Kuberth (U8 85), Adalina Nommensen (Girls 3rd-5th 76.4-81.3), Chloee Deal (Girls 3rd-5th 109.2-111), Jameson Mays (U12 74), Jacob Miraglia (U12 86), Brayden Nelson (U12 117), Nikita Nommensen (U12 160-162), Kalyani Brown (Girls 6th-8th 130), Nikita Nommensen (Girls 6th-8th 150-165).
TCWC also had the most pins by a team with 44, and they had the most pins and tech falls combined with 49.
Next up for the Mat Cats will be the WSWA Rainier Rumble at Rainier High School on Sunday.
