Two people were injured, including a Tumwater woman, when their vehicle struck a sign near Interstate 5 Saturday evening, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 6:30 p.m., they were headed north on I-5 and were taking Exit 82 near Centralia when troopers say they drove off the road to the left and struck a sign.

The 54-year-old driver was injured and taken to Tacoma General Hospital, while the 41-year-old Tumwater woman was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital.

No drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
