The Tumwater football team continued to dominate on Friday night, improving to 7-0 with a 60-0 thrashing of Shelton in a 2A EvCo match.

Kooper Clark, Jaylin Nixon, and Logan Cole all nearly hit 100 yards on the ground, and they combined for five rushing touchdowns.

Ethan Kastner hit Kooper Clark and Brady Bryant for touchdowns through the air, and sophomore quarterback Jaxon Budd found the end zone with a big run of his own late in the game.

Freshman running back Tyler Briscoe was also able to get into the end zone, pounding it in from two-yards out early in the fourth quarter.

The Thunderbirds have now scored 54 or more points in each of their last five games, and across their seven games this season, they’ve outscored their opponents 362-49. They have won their games by an average of 44.7 points.

At 4-0 in league play, they sit alone in first place in the league standings, one game up on Aberdeen and W.F. West, two teams that they have already beaten.

They’ll have the chance to clinch the league title next week with a win at home against Rochester.
