The Pe Ell volleyball team ended its regular season on a high note at home on Wednesday, sweeping Columbia Adventist 25-12, 25-11, 25-10 on its senior night.
“The girls set the pace and stayed steady throughout the match,” Pe Ell coach Jill Engel said. “We worked all the areas of our court. It was nice to see a lot of the things we’ve been working on, translating into intentional plays.”
Karli Phelps dished out 23 assists and also had seven aces and three digs, while Madi Engel chipped in five kills, four digs, and a block.
Maisy King was perfect for the line and delivered three aces along with seven kills, six blocks, and three digs, and Peyton Zock finished with 10 kills and two blocks.
Bailey Cox added three kills, two blocks, and a kill, Brynnlee Hoffman had four digs, a block, and a kill, and Sophia Milanowski finished with 10 digs.
The Trojans (13-4, 9-1 1B CVL) will play for an outright league title and the league’s No. 1 seed in the upcoming district tournament when they play Wahkiakum in a tiebreaker in South Bend on Saturday.
