TRL Offers Services for Irish Ancestry Research

March is National Irish American Heritage Month. Those interested in researching their Irish family history may visit one of 27 Timberland libraries to use Ancestry Library Edition. You can also try out Heritage Quest as well, available online in the library or at home.

Practice your Irish brogue or pick up a few key Celtic phrases with the online language learning program Pronunciator. Use in your online browser, or download apps for Apple, Android and Kindle Fire.

Find Irish documentaries and feature films on Kanopy streaming video. Some titles include “The Island: Ireland From the Air,” “Ireland: The Celtic Way,” “St. Patrick: Apostle of Ireland” and “1916: The Irish Rebellion.” Library patrons get five free films each month.



Search the library catalog to find Irish fiction, nonfiction, audiobooks and films. Ebooks and downloadable audiobooks can be found in OverDrive.
