Toledo shuts out Friday Harbor in rare home match

The Riverhawks only have three home games this fall, but they made the most of their home opener on Saturday by blanking the Wolverines 1-0 in a non-league tilt. It was scoreless at halftime, then Toledo broke the ice in the 57th minute.

Freshman Xtyn Norberg buried a shot off a feed from Kailea Lairson for her second goal in as many games. Keeper Ivana Cabrera secured her first clean sheet of the season for the Riverhawks (2-2).

Toledo will take on Tenino on Monday in another non-league contest.
