The Riverhawks have made their presence felt right away in games this season, having a first half point differential of +155 through five games and that was the primary factor in a 43-6 victory over the Vikings on Thursday night in Mossyrock.

For the second straight year, Toledo (5-0, 2-0 C2BL East) is unbeaten heading into the second week of October and a date with Rainier next Friday at home is next on the docket. Carter Swofford got the scoring started with a 70-yard scamper and added a 15-yard plunge to cap a 28-point first quarter.

Eli Weeks tallied three total touchdowns and over 155 yards through the air on just five attempts. Adam Kruger was on the receiving end of both TD passes from 53 and 42 yards out, respectively.

Mossyrock (1-3, 0-1) avoided the shutout with a Blue Sievers 5-yard score. He finished with 97 yards through the air and Kyle Brockway led the ground attack with 31 yards on 12 touches. The Vikings will hit the road to battle Toutle Lake next week.

“We never hung our heads,” Mossyrock head coach Robbie Dailey said. “Every game from here on out is a big deal. Flush this one and move onto the next.”
