The Toledo volleyball team was able to force a fifth set after dropping the first two sets on Thursday against Toutle Lake, but the Riverhawks eventually fell in five 19-25, 14-25, 25-13, 25-19, 7-15.
“In our first two sets, we weren’t reacting to the ball quickly, and we also missed too many serves,” Toledo coach Kelli Larson said. “Our hitters became more aggressive with their swings and had less errors. They began playing like a team rather than individuals.”
Ellie Fallon posted 19 digs, 17 kills, five aces, and eight three-point passes while posting a pass rating of 2.32.
Brenna Carver added 12 digs and seven three-point passes, while Lexi Young tallied 14 kills and three aces. Sidney Kruger posted 21 digs, Abby Umbriaco recorded three aces, and Taysia Miller logged three blocks at the net.
The Riverhawks (11-3, 2-3 C2BL) will look to get back to .500 in league play on Tuesday in Winlock.
